Job Description: QA Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, expertise in API testing, and familiarity with software development best practices. This role involves designing and executing automated testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation scripts to ensure software quality.
- Perform API Automation testing using REST Assured, leveraging a deep understanding of testing methodologies and software development life cycles.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Spinnaker to enable smooth and continuous delivery.
- Design and implement processes to prevent software regression between releases.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices, contract testing, API testing, version control, continuous integration, and deployment standards.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather functional requirements and develop technical specifications, project plans, and test strategies.
- Utilize tools like Cucumber or Playwright for TDD/BDD-based testing and enhance behavior-driven development practices.
- Optionally, apply expertise in Selenium or Playwright for UI automation as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in multiple front-end languages and libraries, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML, and jQuery.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript and automation tools for API application testing.
- Strong understanding of coding standards, version control, CI/CD, and comprehensive documentation practices.
- Proven experience with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in TDD/BDD frameworks and behavior-driven testing approaches.
- Ability to design and execute robust test processes that ensure software quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI automation.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools like Spinnaker and GitHub Actions.
